Memorandum Of Association

 

I. NAME:
The Name of the Society shall be Evangelical Financial Accountability Council (EFAC).

II. REGISTERED OFFICE:
The Registered Office of the Society shall be situated in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, its present address being at 803/92, Deepali, Nehru Place, New Delhi 110019.

III. AREAS OF OPERATION:
The areas of operation of the Society shall be through out India.

IV. AIMS AND OBJECTS:
The Aims and Objects for which the Society is established are as under:

  1. To function as a certifying agency for Non-Profit Organizations/Institutions (NPOs) to identify, evaluate and certify their commitment to maintain and comply with the standards of accountability and transparency that convey God-honoring ethical practices.
     

  2. To act as a Network Organisation to collect, maintain and provide resources, information and support pertaining to NPOs and to organize work study, training camps, teaching programs, seminars, workshops etc.
     

  3. To improve the working of NPOs in matters relating to institutional capacity building, policy making, management, administration, project implementation and similar endeavors, to help them to develop and maintain best ethical standards to earn public respect/trust and donors confidence.
     

  4. To have a wider impact on the efforts of NPOs and to raise consciousness of the need to use one’s talents and resources to serve the people with love and compassion for achieving the lasting justice and peace.
     

  5. To provide support to train the trainers and teach the concepts of good character, moral behaviour, responsibilities of freedom, fellowship, leadership, human values, general awareness, dissemination of useful knowledge, integrated development, professional knowledge, social welfare, child welfare, family counseling, adult education and other socially relevant subjects.
     

  6. To give grants, scholarships, stipends and other kinds of supports to students who excel in their fields and show potential for developing leadership and service skills, as well as to voluntary groups, social workers and such other individuals in India committed to social welfare to undertake and pursue further education, research, training, documentation, preparation of audio-visual educational materials and action in social development service and education of others without distinction of religion, caste, creed or any other status.
     

  7. To make management study, recommend measures on management standards and accountability practices, manpower finance for capacity building of organization and its staff.
     

  8. Publish books and booklets to help the organisations to enhance and maintain high management standards.
     

  9.  To engage in such other acts and activities which are necessary and which may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of the above said objects of the Society.

V. SCOPE AND POWER
All the income, earnings, movable or immovable properties of the Society shall be solely utilized and applied towards the promotion of aims and objects only as set forth in this Memorandum of Association of the Society and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profit or in any other manner whatsoever to the present or the past members of the Society or to any other persons claiming through any one or more of the present or past members of the Society. No member of the Society shall have any personal claim on any movable and /or immovable properties of the Society or make any profit whatsoever by virtue of his/her membership.

VI. GOVERNING BODY:
The names, addresses, occupations and designations of the first Members of the Governing Body to whom the management and control of the affairs of the Society are entrusted as required under Section 2 of the Societies Registration Act 1860 as applicable to the National Capital Territory of Delhi are as follows:

We, the undersigned, are desirous of forming a Society namely Evangelical Financial Accountability Council (EFAC) under the Societies Registration Act 1860 as applicable to the National Capital Territory of Delhi in pursuance of this Memorandum of Association of Society:
