Ministries in Andhra Pradesh:

JMM Ministeries

Over 25 years ago, Joyce Meyer began her ministry with one goal in mind – to help as many hurting people as possible.

Joyce Meyer Ministries has a God-ordained mandate to impact the world. We are called to present the Gospel to the lost, disciple nations, feed the hungry, clothe the poor, minister to the elderly, widows and orphans, visit prisoners and reach out to people of all ages and in all walks of life. God requires that we teach people how to apply biblical truth in every facet of their lives, and encourage Christians to influence every aspect of the world around them.

While you may be aware of Joyce’s television show- Enjoying Everyday Life, not many are aware of the outreach programmes which are at the heart of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Joyce Meyer believes that we need to walk the talk and show the love of Christ to hurting people in whichever way we can.

Aashirwad - Feeding Program

Each year, JMM supplies more than five million life-saving meals to those starving worldwide. In India alone, we have more than 60 centers providing nutritious meals to about 5000 children every day. Providing nutritious food at all our feeding programmes has always been our priority.

We also carry out regular educational programs- not only teaching them how to read and write, but also helping them to re-join schools and discourage child labor and enable these children to enjoy a happy school life! Many children have also come to know Christ personally which of course is our greatest joy and our highest priority.

JMM Methodist Chandrakal Hospital:

The impact of AIDS on children continues to mount up. By 2010, there will be 20 million children orphaned by AIDS!

Most of these kids face the trauma of losing their parents to HIV and are left to solitude. They miss out on school, medical care and miss out on the happy years of a normal childhood. At the new Pediatric HIV/AIDS home and clinic at the Chandrakal hospital, we are working on just that – to revive their childhood and make them feel at home. We provide every child with medical care, education wherever possible and a place where they can belong.

At the moment, there are 15 children at Chandrakal who are HIV positive. Most of them live with relatives until they are too ill to be looked after at home. There are five orphans who live at the hospital. They were abandoned by their village elders and it was the hospital that took them in and now cares for them. They are given food, education, medication and most importantly, love and acceptance! They are happy and content now and most of them have forgotten their past. Most of these children don’t know their birthdates. So to give them birthdays, some of the hospital staff have taken a child each and given them their own birth date and month! Birthdays at Chandrakal are celebrated with a lot of festivity and all the AIDS patients are invited and there is plenty of food and love for everyone!

Orphaned by AIDS, but adopted by us

Professional Medical Treatment: The out-patients visit at regular intervals for a review. People infected with HIV have a CD4 count in their blood. If the CD4 count is less than 200, the patient has AIDS and his immune system begins to fail. The hospital gives these patients, anti-retro virals and other herbal Immune System Support drugs to raise the CD4 count above 200. If the count is high, it prolongs the life of the patient. Every patient requires around Rs 500 – 600/- per day for treatment.

The JMM-Methodist Chandrakal Hospital provides medical care to people from 40 surrounding villages who do not have access to primary health care facilities. We provide medical care to more than 300 in-patients and around 1000 out-patients. Numerous free medical camps like eye-testing, cancer-screening camps are conducted every month.

Every life that JMM has touched is because of the faithful support of our partners who share with us the passion and call to help every person they can. All our partners are people whose own lives have been impacted by JMM and in turn want to support our ministry. We believe that the power of partnership is the power to change lives and impact this world with the love of Jesus Christ. If you have been blessed by JMM in any way, we invite you today to become a partner with us! For more information please log on to www.jmmindia.org or call us at 040 23006777.

AGAPE Medical Care: The medical care program provides medical care for those who are in serious need of it and also pursues with intercessory prayers until the children return to normalcy.

AGAPE Vocational Training Institute: has just completed a graduation service for students who completed training in Training and Electricals. With their SETWIN certificates, these students are eligible to get Bank loans in order to establish their own trade.

St. Zechariah’s Model School was started in 1998 with 30 students from the Ruby Agape home. This year it has 270 children with classes from Nursery to 9th standard. We now have a new building with enough rooms to conduct our classes without any disturbances. We thank God for his added blessings to our school and we convey our regards to our sponsor Word & Deed International for their help for this new building. Rev. Joshua V.K. Person-in-charge, Jala.
